Can't help but notice the anachronism in some of the lyrics.
The Beatles Mr Postman is faintly ridiculous:
There must be some word todayStill the BBC version is - well - fabulous...
From my girlfriend so far away
Please Mister postman look and see
If there's a letter, a letter for me
I been standing here waiting Mister postman
So patiently
For just a card or just a letter
Saying she's returning home to me
But for sheer anachronistic silliness nobody can beat The Smith's classic double anachronism:
And now I know how Joan of Arc felt
Now I know how Joan of Arc felt
As the flames rose to her Roman nose
And her Walkman started to melt
Daddy what is a Walkman?
John

The song was of-course not a Beatles song but a cover by The Beatles of the original performed 2 years earlier by The Marvels/Marvelettes.
The Beatles as a covers band. That's an anachronism itself.
Interesting, Morrissey now generally sings it with updated lyrics.

In regards to the Bigmouth lyrics, can some explain to me the "double" part of the "double anachronism"?
Double anachronism: Joan of Arc with a Walkman (and hearing aids) is pretty deliberately anachronistic.
but these days just Walkmans are anachronistic.
My son teases my music taste by saying "did you listen to that on your walkman"?
The answer is often yes.
